Many congratulations to Maegan and Gareth who recently tied the knot (On 11/11/11. No excuses for forgetting your anniversary !) at St Mary’s in Winkfield.
When Maegan and Gareth told me their plans and that they were having their reception at Bluebells I was really excited. This is one of my favourite restaurants having photographed several weddings there in the past. It was also the perfect end to 2011 with this being my last wedding of the year. This was also different to most of my weddings in that I had very little natural light to work with as the ceremony didn’t start until 4pm. When the ceremony was over it was pitch black outside. This meant all of the formal group shots as well as the bridal portraits had to be done inside the church with a mixture of flash and what available light there was. Anyhow I always enjoy a challenge and working outside of my comfort zone.
The biggest surprise of the day was the appearance of Angie Brown. Gareth had secretly arranged this and it was a joy to see Maegan’s face as Angie entered the dance floor ! Angie was big star in the 90′s with the band Bizarre Inc . I remember their music very well and still listen to it today – ‘I’m gonna get you’ being one of my favourites. Angie sang this as well as ‘Playing with knives’ and really got the crowd going ! You can certainly see this from the images below.
It was also great to meet my good friends Tom and Juliet. I photographed their wedding a few years ago and have taken some family portraits as well. So I was really pleased to hear that they’re expecting their first baby in the new year ! Many congratulations to Tom and Juliet.
Below are some of my many favourites. The complete set can also be viewed by clicking here . You will need a password which can be obtained from Maegan and Gareth. Please feel free to Tweet, Facebook ‘like’ add any comments as well.
Enjoy.
