Syon Park

Syon Park is an absolutely amazing venue especially for weddings. It is owned by The Duke of Northumberland and boasts magnificent paintings and furniture. It must also be remembered its only 10 miles from central London.

Syon Park can offer The Great Hall for civil ceremonies which will seat up to 120 guests. For smaller weddings up to 50 guests the State Dining Room can be used. Once the ceremonies are completed guests can walk in procession through the wooded Queens Walk to the magnificent Great Conservatory. This is only available for use in the summer and can seat upto 150 guests. Particularly stunning is when it is lit by candlelight and then when the whole glass roof is lit. For larger weddings with more than 200 guests then a fully equipped marquee can be set up to the side of Syon House with a top class discotheque and state of the art sound systems. These can also be arranged for receptions in the Great conservatory.

My last wedding here was Suzie and Lars’ back in August 2010. Here you can see the views of the Great Conservatory also lit up at night. And of course the fantastic lighting set up for the evening disco. They were married earlier in the day in central London. But you can also see Bonnie and Mark’s ceremony here in the Great Hall.

When it comes to your wedding photography Syon House is second to none. From the private Drawing Rooms with their classical paintings to the panoramic views across the park and the Great Conservatory, Syon Park has the lot. And with an abundance of space this makes it ideal for large weddings particularly if there are a lot of children. And on particularly hot and balmy days you often experience in the summer Syon Park is ideal with its Great Conservatory which stays remarkably cool, not forgetting the wide open spaces and gardens.
