Engagement Photography in Henley On Thames – Martha and Ben

henley on thames wedding photographer181 Engagement Photography in Henley On Thames Martha and Ben

Here are some favourite images from Martha and Ben’s recent engagement session in Henley On Thames. I will be doing their wedding photography at Wokefield Park next month. In fact its my next one after 2 earlier this year at Hengrave Hall and Northcote House.

We’ll be hoping for slightly warmer weather than we had here ! As you can see it was bright and cold with a thin layer of snow which gave me some really great light to work with. I do enjoy winter shoots but have to say I’m now looking forward to the spring and short sleeve weather. Below are some more favourites so please feel free to add any comments.

Old Luxters Barn wedding photography – Louise and Mark

I really enjoyed photographing Louise and Mark’s wedding at Old Luxters Barn last month. They’re a really laid back couple with Mark being a bonzer Aussie ! Mark is also a very keen and excellent photographer as well and we share the same passion. I must admit I did enjoy having a quick flick through his photography books (Helmut Newton in particular) whilst I photographed the preps at their home in Harpsden. In fact things were running late due to an awful snarl up on the M25 the day before. It meant that Louise’s make up artist from east London was stuck in heavy traffic. Anyhow she must be congratulated on getting there just in time and doing an excellent job under extreme pressure. It meant that Louise was late (I wont say how long !) but at the end of the day it didn’t really matter and everyone could still enjoy the day as normal.

The ceremony was held in the beautiful old church of St Mary’s in Harpsden. After some formal family shots on the lawn we then made the short journey across the Oxfordshire countryside to Luxters for the reception. Here I managed to get some really great portraits of them in the woods across the road. We deliberately waited for the light to drop to give a bit more atmosphere to the shots and luckily the moon was visible as well. So it was out with the fast primes and cranked up ISO’s !

Below are some of my many favourites. The complete set as usual can be viewed by clicking here You will need a password which can be obtained from Louise and Mark. Any queries please feel free to contact me

In the meantime please feel free to add any comments below. Enjoy

Mel and Piers – wedding photography at Bix Manor, Henley On Thames, Oxfordshire

Mel and Piers got married at St John’s in Woodley, a church I’m fairly familiar with having learnt my trade there many years ago. It was nice to be local again after a few recent long trips and I started at Mel’s parents home which is only half a mile from my studio. Mel also used an excellent local dressmaker Yvonne Denise

After the church we headed off to the reception at the impressive Bix Manor near Henley, Oxfordshire. For the 2nd week in a row I had beautiful autumn colours to work with as well as low sun. You can see the effect of this in some of my favourites below The whole set can of course be seen by clicking on ‘Links’ above and then ‘client area’. Videography was by Steve Hart at Plus Pictures who did and excellent job and kept out of my way !

Mel and Piers, hope you’re having a great honeymoon in the Lakedistrict and I look forward to seeing you on our return.
