Wokefield Park Wedding Photography
Wokefield Park can be found at the end of a sweeping driveway close by to Mortimer in Berkshire. It boasts over 250 acres of manicured lawns and gardens as well as its own private lake. The Mansion House you can see in the photo above has a special air of romance in a secluded setting.
Wokefield Park has for centuries been the family home of dignitaries and nobles and the important members of society. With its historic grandeur and breathtaking beauty it still maintains that homely feel.
Every wedding at Wokefiled will include the following -
- A bespoke package
- Canapes and reception drinks after the ceremony which can be served inside or on the terrace in summer.
- Special accommodation rates for your guests.
- A four course meal for the wedding breakfast with wine and Champagne for the speeches.
I have photographed several weddings at Wokefield Park in recent years. A place I always enjoy returning to because of its vast space, beautiful indoor light with fantastic marble halls and huge classical oil paintings. The photos you see here are from Jenn and Nicks wedding. I did their wedding photography at Wokefield in June 2011. After the ceremony at the nearby St Mary the Virgin in Burghfield we all arrived at Wokefield in the afternoon for the reception. A hog roast barbeque was awaiting on the terrace after the initial arrival drinks and canapes.
Because of the light evening we ventured down to the lake immediately after the speeches for some couple portraits. The light at this time was perfect, soft and directional. Then finally the evening celebrations began with a disco and lots of dancing into the early hours. A great day inĀ fantastic setting and venue. As a Berkshire based wedding photographer its a very local venue and one that I always enjoy going back to.
